About Me
Prior to founding Real Estate Interests, Emery spent six years in the Detroit office of Hines Interests, LP where he was Director of Leasing and two years with Cushman & Wakefield Signature Associates where is was Director of Asset Management.
After leaving Hines, Emery worked as a Chief Investment Officer for a real estate adviser with assets under management exceeding $1 billion dollars in high quality, institutional grade commercial real estate. He built a very successful asset management platform, overseeing all acquisition, disposition and asset management strategies. In his five years there, the assets under management (AUM) more than quadrupled with results that exceeded the relevant benchmark by an average of 660 basis points each year.
Emery also co-founded and grew a property management firm with over 6 million sq. ft. under management. In that role, he was primarily responsible for strategic vision and new business opportunities.

- Sourced and closed more than (US) $600 million of commercial acquisitions representing nearly 3,000,000 square feet across the United States.
- Negotiated and closed new and renewal leases exceeding 2,800,000 aggregate square feet.
- Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. MBA degree from the Harvard Business School, and a JD from Harvard Law School.
- Licensed Real Estate Broker and Attorney in the state of Michigan. Fluent in German. Completed three semesters in the Chinese Language degree program at Beijing Language and Culture University.
